John Murphy, Senior Trainer

John Murphy John W. Murphy brings to The Negotiation Skills Company 25 years in business and government negotiations, both international and domestic. He has particular experience in intra-company "tribal" negotiations, aerospace & defense. and structured finance.

Mr. Murphy closed deals for hundreds of aircraft worth over $5.8 billion throughout Europe, North America, and various parts of Africa, The Middle East and South America. John was a member of the senior management team at one of the leading private jet fractional ownership programs. John has gained some tough experience in bankruptcy, troubled debt restructuring, and managing the sale and wind-down of a loan portfolio. John now deals with the major commercial airframe manufacturers, US defense prime contractors, and the US Government.

John taught several seminars in International Marketing at Ryerson Polytechnic University in Toronto. He has also taught a Basic Marketing course and an Investments course at the Community College of Vermont. He earned his MBA in International Business from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1981. In continuing his education, John has completed several courses in negotiations from a variety of sponsors.

John lives with his wife and family in Vermont enjoying all four seasons.
